In religion, politics, science, business or technology, you can be driven by facts or emotions, by who is more persuasive or the truth. We may all have a right to an opinion, but my opinion may be wrong.
Truth can be a difficult topic as it requires a willingness on the examiner to be wrong. If I am convinced that two plus two equals five and am unwilling to have it proven to me otherwise, truth will not be found.
We are striving to base our philosophy on truth rather than our traditions, circumstances or opportunities. Truth is stable and our philosophy adjusts as our understanding of what is true matures.
